Down beneath the ocean blue
Lived a friend named Ollie Oo
Eight long arms and goofy eyes
Waving at the fish swimming by
But one day when the sun shined hot
Something funny happened on the spot
Pop-pop-pop from arm number three
And everybody shouted,
“What could that be?”
He's the Corn-Popping Octopus
Pop-pop-popping all of us
Pop-pop here and pop-pop there
Popcorn floating everywhere
Pop-pop left and pop-pop right
Popping morning, noon, and night
He's the Corn-Popping Octopus
The silliest friend of all of us
A turtle laughed and spun around
A dolphin jumped right out of town
A seahorse danced a wiggly jig
Even old Mr. Crab danced big
Then a whale came swimming by
Blinking his enormous eye
“How'd you learn that popping trick?”
Ollie said,
“I don't know, it just clicked!”
He's the Corn-Popping Octopus
Pop-pop-popping all of us
Pop-pop here and pop-pop there
Popcorn floating everywhere
Pop-pop left and pop-pop right
Popping morning, noon, and night
He's the Corn-Popping Octopus
The silliest friend of all of us
Pop in the sea
Pop in the sand
Pop on a starfish
Holding your hand
Pop in a seashell
Pop in a boat
Pop on the bubbles
That float and float
He's the Corn-Popping Octopus
Pop-pop-popping all of us
Everybody sing along
Everybody pop along
Pop-pop high and pop-pop low
Where the ocean breezes blow
He's the Corn-Popping Octopus
And away we go!
Pop-pop-pop!
Pop-pop-pop!
Ollie waved and shouted,
“See you tomorrow!”
Pop-pop-pop!
